WHY
CONSIDER A PUTTING GREEN?
A putting green adds to the landscaping of your home, increases
property value, affords an opportunity to spend quality time with
family and friends, improves putting skills, encourages young people to
start golf at an early age and allows more free time for the working
mom and dad.
WHY CHOOSE A SYNTHETIC PUTTING GREEN SURFACE?
A synthetic putting green surface looks and feels like natural grass.
It's ideal for backyard practice. Play in wet weather, no watering, no
mowing, no seeding or fertilizing. Occasional brushing (fifteen
minutes) keeps the green conditioned for year-round play. Life of the
synthetic green is ten to fifteen years, depending on the maintenance
program.
WHY USE A COMPACTED ROCK BASE?
Less expensive than concrete, excellent foundation, much better
undulations, and does not crack or separate like concrete.
WHY NOT A REAL BENT GRASS SURFACE?
With a real bent grass surface, you will need to perform mandatory
maintenance (7 days a week) on a daily basis, and there's equipment to
purchase and maintain.
Talk to your golf superintendent and
ask him how many golf greens he has built over the years for
individuals, and how many of those he built are in existence today.
